Unterschiedliche Pfade und Wanderwege f\u00fchren durch und um den Wolfspark herum und jeder muss selbst entscheiden in welcher Reihenfolge er sich um die Gehege bewegen m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n<p>Der von Werner Freund vor einigen Jahrzehnten aufgebaute Park beherbergt heute auf 4,5 Hektar unterschiedliche Wolfsrudel, die hier zur Verhaltensforschung gehalten werden. Unter anderem leben dort europ\u00e4ische W\u00f6lfe, arktische W\u00f6lfe und Timberw\u00f6lfe. Viele von ihnen wurden von Werner Freund selbst gro\u00df gezogen. Der Wolfsforscher begibt sich daf\u00fcr selbst auf eine Ebene mit den Tieren. So f\u00fcttert er die Welpen mit dem einen Mund und heult mit ihnen um ein Zusammengeh\u00f6rigkeitsgef\u00fchl zu entwickeln. Mit \u00e4lteren Tieren geht er auch schon mal in den umliegenden W\u00e4ldern auf die Jagd.<\/p>\n<p>Um keine Konflikte zwischen den einzelnen Rudeln zu sch\u00fcrren, denn er ist f\u00fcr alle ein Ehrenwolf, bedarf es dabei spezieller Vorkehrungen. Werner Freund muss alle menschlichen Konventionen \u00fcber Bord werfen und darf sich ausschlie\u00dflich an die Regeln eines jeden Rudels halten. Auch muss er vermeiden den Geruch eines Rudelns, in ein anderes mitzunehmen. Hierzu tr\u00e4gt er in jedem Gehege einen anderen Overall.<\/p>\n<p>Au\u00dfer der Leidenschaft f\u00fcr die Verhaltensforschung hat Werner Freund allerdins noch eine andere Leidenschaft. Er hat etliche Expeditionen in fremde L\u00e4nder geleitet und dort fremde Ureinwohner besucht.
